Must… warn… others…

Having survived my first couple of decades as a professional software engineer and manager, I’m sharing some things I wish I’d know earlier.

The Prime Directive of this blog is to always be worth your time. Each entry aims to be short and sweet, where “sweet” means either immediately useful or damned interesting. Some posts are niche, with lots of code, but there’s also a fair amount of advice regarding career growth and technical project management.

A new post is usually published every Friday. Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and all available content. Please share with anyone else you think might be into this kind of thing.

About the author

Jeff Schwab has worked at some big companies (including Sun, IBM, GE, Bloomberg, and Google) and a handful of startups, with mixed success and plenty of failure. He writes mostly as a form of catharsis.
